According to Wang Wenbin, yesterday’s 10th China-Japan-ROK Foreign Ministers’ Meeting took place in Busan, South Korea. The three sides decided to function as the China-Japan-ROK Leaders’ Meeting and to follow the leaders’ consensus when implementing documents like the “China-Japan-ROK Cooperation Outlook for the Next Ten Years”. Wang Wenbin introduced that yesterday, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, attended the 10th China-Japan-ROK Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Busan with South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa.
This year marks the second foreign ministers’ meeting between China, Japan and South Korea held after four years. Foreign Minister Wang Yi pointed out that China, Japan and South Korea, as important countries in the Asia-Pacific region, must based on the peaceful development of the Asia-Pacific and the interests of the people in the region, deepen regional cooperation, jointly respond to risks and challenges, and maintain regional peace and prosperity. We must be the “leader” of East Asia cooperation, promote East Asia cooperation through trilateral cooperation, adhere to open regionalism, oppose ideological lines, and resist the formation of regional cooperation into camps.
